VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!

Here is an overview of the tasks and jobs where we need volunteers to help put on a fabulous National! SUNDAY 10:00am to 11:30am, then 5:15pm until done.

Help setting up dog exercise area in the Pere Marquette (host hotel) parking garage.

SUNDAY 12:00 noon to 5:00 pm

Peoria Civic Center setup begins: Help setting up grooming area, reserved seating, etc.

MONDAY 9:00 am to 5:00 pm (Note: exhibitors begin move-in at 9:30 am)

  • Loading Dock attendants: direct exhibitors to unloading areas – 3-4 people per shift
  • Assist exhibitors with unloading to grooming spaces – 2-3 people per shift
  • Information Table – 2 people per shift

MONDAY

  • Exhibit hall setup – continued from Sunday. Lots to do – we have a long list!
  • “Craft” room – miscellaneous sit down jobs such as filling welcome bags
  • Welcome Party ticket pickup table – approx 12 noon – 5:30 pm
  • Ring Setup – afternoon – assist Superintendent with laying & taping obedience/rally mats

TUESDAY 8:00 am to approx noon

  • Loading dock attendants: 2-3 people per shift
  • Information Table – 2 people per shift

TUESDAY – SATURDAY

Tables & Booths:

  • Catalog sales & pickup
  • Welcome Bag pickup
  • Raffles & Auctions – ticket sales
  • Merchandise preparation & sales

Other jobs:

  • Ring stewards & assistants:
    • Tuesday-Saturday: Conformation
    • Wednesday-Thursday: Obedience & Rally
    • Friday: Scent Work
  • Trophy Movers: move National & Show trophies to/from storage room at the beginning & end of each show day
  • Ring cleanup: Sweep/vacuum rings at the end of each day
  • Scent Work trial setup Tuesday-Thursday
  • Sanitation Attendant(s). We need Sanitation Attendant(s) to handle/oversee the outside cleanup tasks: patrol the grounds & exercise areas, change out the bags in the outdoor poop buckets at least twice daily and dispose of in PCC dumpster, etc. Job can be shared by more than one person.
